About Clayarch

The story behind Clayarch began with a vision of two men, Hak Joong Kim and Min Chul Kong, who wanted to bring their vision "Building a Better Guam" to fruition. With over 30 years of combined experience as General Contractors and degrees in Civil and Architectural Engineering, they formed Clayarch, Inc. - the story of the name is derived from Clay, which is soft, allowing it to be molded and designed into a form. When hardened, the form can shape into a strong solid structure. The clay analogy is the commitment of Hak Joong Kim and Min Chul Kong's vision, to build a strong foundation from start to finish while working with and fortifying solid relationships with their clients: commercial, local and federal, to meet all their project needs.  The word, Architectural was shortened to "Arch" to show the meaning of their expertise and knowledge from their degrees in Civil and Architectural Engineering. The company was therefore born as Clayarch.
